But if I drain the water

Straight from my soil

How will I bloom?

I want you to shine

But if I mute the light

From all of my skies

How will I see?

I want you to fly

But if I carve off the wings

That sprout from my back

How will I soar?

I want you to thrive

But if I siphon the strength

That stirs in my soul

How will I be?

I want you to live

But if I expel all the air

Filling my lungs

How will I breathe?
