Alien Superstar: Let’s Talk About It

Inspired by the writing of Beyonce’s Renaissance album, Issue 06 celebrates individuality, courage, exploration, and accepting your authentic self. That there is not only divine beauty in differences, but immense strength– when new ideas connect with bright eyes, there is nothing that cannot be accomplished.

Issue 05 was centered on feeling lost. In a world of whimsical landscapes and curious ambiguity, it explored vulnerability, uncertainty, and the innate sensation of not belonging. Students found a voice in the representation of complex problems and perceptions that can feel suffocating at times. But now, from the ashes of “In a Daze,” “Alien Superstar” rises – a beacon of evolution, hope, and the foundations that our publication stands upon.

“Alien Superstar” embraces the unknown. It captures everything that makes you feel isolated, and illuminates it under a glow of glamour and magnificence. It says, “We are bold. We are new. We are one-of-a-kind.”

It sets you free.

Each and every member of our team took in the theme with grace, and in turn have collaborated to produce an issue unlike any other. We hope that you resonate with the creative expression within these pages, and that it inspires you to embrace your very own Alien Superstar.
