Normal Heights
“I love being able to explore the adorable area of Normal Heights because of all of the unique, funky, and vibrant buildings! There are so many coffee shops to chill at, small businesses to support, and just the best vintage markets — it’s a perfect day!”

Day to Day Vintage Market in North Park
“I always find something I love at Day to Day market! Plus it is in an adorable part of town with cute cafes for a coffee break after!”
- Ainsley Holt
Little Italy Farmers Market
“The Little Italy Farmers Market is fun to explore with friends and has something for everyone to enjoy with food, flowers, entertainment, and more. With vendors sharing their creations and making food fresh to order, a sense of community is fostered through the ability to support small businesses.”
- Avery Simone
Seaport Village at the Marina
“The Marina was one of the first places I visited when I moved to San Diego. It reminds me of Shoreline Village in Long Beach, CA, a place I would visit everytime I traveled to California with my grandma. The marina is full of beautiful shops and restaurants, as well as parks outlooking the water. My favorite thing to do at the marina is to sit and watch sailboats pass across the water while sitting on the grass with my friends.”
- Makayla Ramirez
Pacific Beach
“Pacific Beach is my favorite area of San Diego because of its eclectic vibes and overall versatility. Whether I’m in the mood for a day at the beach, a morning run, or to thrift and grab coffee, PB conveniently has all of my favorite spots wrapped into one area. Though it may be cliche, I love to explore PB and love the people watching that ensues almost just as much.”
- Katie Blais
Lake Park
“As someone who swore that nothing could beat a beach day, my attitude completely changed once I explored Chollas Lake Park for the first time. There’s something so calming about being at the lake, whether you want to have a picnic on the water’s edge, go on a long walk, or utilize some of the fun workout equipment you can find at the park. I recommend bringing a book or some good company and enjoy the peaceful scenery!”
- Andonia Goergen
Philz Coffee + Swami’s Lookout in Encinitas
“The first time I ever visited San Diego, my mom and I drove through Encinitas on our way down from LA. Now, everytime I’m up North, I visit both places and am reminded of my mom and the way it felt to finally move here.”
